WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
WHERE CULTURE BECOMES STRATEGY
Futurekind is an independent cultural creative office: a hybrid of think tank, strategy consultancy and creative studio. We work anti-disciplinary by design, blending cultural intelligence, strategy and creation to decode shifts and turn them into culturally relevant brands, products and services.
We operate as a collaboration broker within this model, connecting brands, creators and ideas to unlock relevance, resonance and new forms of value.
With a strong focus on unlocking female potential, Futurekind explores how female-driven shifts -from femtech to fandoms - are reshaping markets and culture.
This lens strengthens our broader cultural research, helping brands understand not just what is changing, but who is driving that change.

Our strength
NEXT-GEN CULTURAL RELEVANCE TODAY AND TOMORROW
We look at generations and then we don't. What we actually follow are microcommunities: the ones building scale from the edges, setting signals before they become obvious.
Next-gen isn't a demographic, it's a mindset. Short-term or long-term, the question is always the same: who's moving culture right now, and why does it matter tomorrow?
We don't follow trends. We decode them, shape them and build with them.

OUR VALUES

We create cultural products, services, concepts and new business opportunities built around the target groups and micro-communities your brand hasn't reached yet.
Not advertising. Real things. New products, retail concepts, collaboration formats built on what culture is actually asking for.

Q&A
Futurekind is an independent cultural creative office based in Belgium, founded by Kristel Vanderlinden. It operates as a hybrid of think tank, strategy consultancy and creative studio working at the intersection of cultural intelligence, strategy and creation to help brands decode shifts in culture, identity and behaviour before they become obvious.
A cultural intelligence consultancy decodes emerging shifts in consumer behaviour, identity and values and translates them into strategic opportunities for brands. Futurekind goes beyond trend reporting: we analyse the forces underneath trends, map future consumer personas, develop cultural foresight scenarios and build brand strategies rooted in where culture is heading next.
Futurekind is not a trend agency. We don't surface trends, we decode the cultural forces underneath them. Our approach is anti-disciplinary: combining cultural research, strategic thinking and creative direction in one system. We operate as think tank, strategy consultancy and creative studio simultaneously, which means we can move from insight to idea to real-world execution without handoff.
Anti-disciplinary thinking means deliberately working across and beyond established disciplines combining cultural research, philosophy, design thinking, creative strategy and lived experience to solve problems that single-discipline approaches miss. At Futurekind, this lens allows us to decode complex cultural shifts and translate them into brand strategies that are genuinely original and future-facing.
Cultural foresight is the practice of identifying and interpreting emerging shifts in culture, identity and consumer behaviour before they become mainstream. For brands, it means understanding not just what is happening now but what will matter in 2–5 years, giving you the strategic lead time to build relevance, enter new markets, develop new products and position your brand for what's next.
FemTech refers to technology and innovation focused on female health, biology and wellbeing. Kristel Vanderlinden, Belgium's first FemTech futurist, tracks how FemTech intersects with broader shifts in female wealth, identity and consumer behaviour. For brands, the female health and wellness market represents one of the most significant underserved opportunities in consumer markets today.
Female fandoms are passionate, loyalty-driven communities forming around sports, entertainment, culture and identity. They are rewriting the rules of consumer loyalty, creating emotional, identity-based connections that traditional marketing can't replicate.
Futurekind helps brands understand, access and collaborate with female fandoms as cultural forces, not just audience segments.
A Trend Rave is a signature Futurekind format : a trend talk fused with a live DJ set. Cultural intelligence is delivered as an experience: foresight meets the dancefloor. It's designed for brand events, conferences and strategy days where inspiration needs to be felt as much as heard. Available for booking internationally.
Hack the Culture is a cultural intelligence workshop designed for brand leaders, marketing teams and founders. Led by Kristel Vanderlinden, it builds the lens, language and strategic tools to read culture as a business asset, not just inspiration. In-person, available across Europe.
DECODE is a signature annual event by Futurekind : a curated one-day MASTERCLASS in Belgium combining cultural foresight, trend vibe coding, live editorial intelligence and hands-on strategic ideation. Designed for brand leaders, CMOs, innovation leads and founders who want to lead cultural change rather than follow it.
Kristel Vanderlinden is a cultural strategist, keynote speaker and the founder of Futurekind. With over 30 years of experience across marketing, culture and strategy, she is recognised as Belgium's first femtech futurist and a leading voice on the future of identity, female innovation and cultural intelligence. She is the author of Evalutie and speaks internationally on cultural foresight, female futures and brand strategy.
Futurekind is based in Belgium and works with brands and founders across Europe and internationally. We offer in-person workshops, keynotes and strategy sessions across Europe, as well as advisory and research engagements that can be conducted remotely.
