Dutch Design Week is zonder twijfel het grootste innovatie-festival van Europa. Jaarlijks komen zo'n 300.000 bezoekers van over heel de wereld het beste van innovatie ontdekken in Eindhoven. De Dutch Design Academy showt niet alleen de eindejaarsprojecten maar bedrijven, instellingen en universiteiten uit heel Nederland tonen in de meest 'mindblowing'tentoonstellingen, dinners en talks wat de toekomst brengt op alle belangrijke thema's van vandaag , morgen en overmorgen.

Hier een greep uit het programma wat we samen gaan ontdekken! 

Seven thematic exhibitions presenting new perspectives on a changing world that invite you to think along and join in, to be seen exclusively during DDW in Klokgebouw and on Ketelhuisplein:

• Get Set for Durable Living shows designs that respond to the demand for a high degree of adaptability and flexibility in the built environment.
• Get Set for The Next Generation questions how we design, organise and innovate our education.
• Get Set for Digital Evolvement zooms in on how the virtual world is interwoven with the physical.
• Get Set for Smart Livability uses the exhibition The New Nature of Living to present designs that improve or ease our relationship with the world.
• Get Set for Creations of Trust is all about work that responds to the demand for our safety and the call for more trust.
• Get Set for Global Wellbeing nourishes the mind and takes care of the body. With concepts and designs that connect to what we can do to remedy existing planetary health problems and what is needed to keep the world liveable for everyone in the future.
• Get Set for Things that Matter explores the value and meaning of objects in times of overconsumption.

Na een geleide rondwandeling, gaan we samen lunchen en bezoeken we het stadscentrum met een bezoek aan de afstudeertentoonstelling van de Dutch Design Academy. We eindigen we onze tour bij Dutch Invertuals, één van Nederland's meest spraakmakende design collectieven. Oprichtster Wendy Plomp geeft een persoonlijke rondleiding van hun Expeditie Aequalis, een exploratieve tentoonstelling rond regeneratie. Zelf omschrijven ze het als : "together we've embarked on a three-year transformative exploration towards an eco-centric future where humans are and want to be part of a healthy and balanced ecosystem".
